Nonviolence is not the absence of power but the revelation of a deeper, hidden strength. It is the strength to remain open, even when wronged; to listen, even when accused; to bear witness to love, even when it costs us everything. This path is not weak resignation but courageous participation in the great unfolding of justice. “There is a moral power in voluntarily suffering for the sake of others.” Such willingness reshapes the contours of conflict, turning enemies into companions in shared humanity, unveiling systemic wounds rather than condemning individuals. To walk this way is to trust that the Spirit’s current flows toward reconciliation, toward a reality where love prevails and suffering is transfigured. This is resurrection in real time, the transformation of pain into freedom, and the opening of our hearts into a vast communion with all that lives.
