I dwell in Possibility.
— Emily Dickinson
Select One Spiritual Nugget to Inspire Your Day
Let’s stop calling it religious conflict when what we’re actually witnessing is power, ego, and greed using religion as a disguise. The sacred texts of our traditions are clear. They command love, justice, compassion. They call us to humility, to solidarity with the stranger, the orphan, the suffering. When we examine the true heart of religion, it does not breed violence or division. It asks us to relinquish the small self, not enthrone it. It urges us to care, to serve, to love across all borders. Just because ego and greed and hatred are doing cosplay as religion, don’t give it that much credit. Let’s not confuse ego in religious clothing with authentic faith. Let’s reclaim the real thing—faith that is anchored in truth, grounded in action, and alive with concern for all.
May we see through the disguises of ego and greed, and walk boldly in the clarity, humility, and love of true faith.
